What we need Heritage Gas Services LTD will be what’s known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. We only collect basic personal data about you which does not include any special types of information. This does however include your name, address, email, telephone number and gas appliance details.
Why we need it We need to know your basic personal data in order to provide you with the services you require in line with this overall contract. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need in order to provide and oversee this service to you.

How long we keep it The length of time that we will store your data will depend on the ‘legal basis’ for why we are using that data, as follows:
Legal basis; where we use/store your data because it is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and us.
Length of time; the information which is held on our Field Management System is held indefinitely, or until such a time as you contact us to request your information/details are removed from our database.
Where we use/store data because it is necessary for our legitimate business interests; We will use/store your data until you ask us to stop. However, if we can demonstrate the reason why we are using/storing your data overrides your interests, rights and freedoms, then we will continue to use and store your data for long as it is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and us (or if earlier, we no longer have a legitimate interest in using/storing your data).
What we would also like to do with it If we have provided a service that includes an installation of a gas appliance or a gas appliance service, we will automatically send you a service reminder in 12 month’s time. It is important for the safety of your household to have your boiler serviced regularly and to maintain the warranty of the boiler with the manufacturer.
